A little about the owners of Golden Drip Apiary
We welcome you to Golden Drip apiary where natural beekeeping practices are wrought and the golden girls are in charge. The health of the honeybees remain our top priority.
We are not focused on quantity of product. Rather, we work to promote healthy, wholesome products created from bees which are thriving and reproducing within a healthy, natural environment, free from the contamination of chemicals.
We never use chemicals or pesticides of any type within our hives at anytime. Neither do we render supplemental feedings for a greater influx of honey. We simply allow the bees to bring in the nectar sources of their own choosing. This allows for an unadulterated honey without any artificial inputs.
We utilize organic, natural approaches to ensure our hives stay healthy, strong and vibrant. Most of which are mechanical or natural controls, thus preventing chemical usage which ends up in wax and in honey.
It is our passion for bees and the local ecosystem which led us to keep bees. The Honey Bee is a fascinating and amazing creature and we understand fully that our ecosystem cannot function properly without them. With this twofold purpose in mind; beautification of local flora, supporting local plant communities and a healthy honey crop are the outcome.
To further accomplish our goals and to befriend other beekeepers in the Central and Eastern North Carolina area, Chris has begun making wooden hive boxes, honey supers, bottom boards, top bar hives and other wooden components to provide a local means of purchase for these items.
